I am an activist, advocate, and organizer.
A scholar of ancient stories.
A practitioner and teacher of radical discipleship.
I am a frequent figure at the Tennessee state capitol advocating for the rights of others and I never say no to an opportunity to advocate and agitate for change.
Travis holds an M.Div. at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago, with an emphasis in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Texas A&M University.
I am a certified Level II, Advanced Kingian Nonviolence Leadership Trainer and certified in NeuroSomatic Intelligence Foundational Training.
UnMired is for folks who are ready and willing to be honest, vulnerable, curious, and patient with themselves, for themselves.
By excavating our past, we bring what holds us captive - our masked-selves, bankrupted ideologies, past traumas - into the light. By naming them we begin to reclaim our own humanity, identity, and authentic power. By being vulnerable with ourselves and other trusted companions, we can drawn on the accountability and strength we get from community. It’s messy, really messy, but I know it works - and the other side is clearer, freer, and un-mired.
